Lime Green Design’s higher education portfolio includes site design for additions, renovations, and new building construction, as well as creating new campus spaces at institutions across the Rocky Mountain West. Based on the client’s program, we design unique landscapes that respond to specific building uses or wider campus needs. We have designed small spaces associated with individual buildings as well as larger campus spaces which contribute to and enhance the outdoor learning and social environment.
Examples include quadrangles, amphitheaters and sculpture gardens, xeriscape and native plant demonstration gardens; street pedestrianization projects, and parking lot landscaping. These designs often have to accommodate fully integrated transportation systems on campuses which include shuttle buses, private vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians. To date we have completed site designs on fifteen different LEED registered projects which contribute toward credits including xeric landscapes, reflective paving materials, locally sourced and recycled materials, and water quality bioswales. Nine of these projects have been certified.
